GABA Membersip Application PDF Print E-mail
The Georgia Antiquarian Booksellers Association (GABA) is a trade association of antiquarian booksellers located throughout the state of Georgia. Our members specialize in fine and rare books, maps, documents, autographs, illuminated manuscripts, ephemera and prints which span the economic spectrum. We are united in a passion for books and related material and have bound ourselves to a Code of Ethics which guides us in our dealings with each other and our clients.

Each year GABA sponsors a rare and antiquarian
book fair, generally in the Atlanta area.  Many hundreds of collectors, librarians and scholars enthusiastically anticipate and attend each year.

Regular membership meetings are held quarterly each year.
From time to time GABA publishes a Newsletter with trade-related stories, book reviews and other interesting tidbits. Our website, www.gaba.com, has a continually updated directory of members and their specialties.

I began my career over thirty ago making the transition from collector (African American Studies) to dealer. Since the beginning I have never lost the “thrill of the hunt” for both objects and knowledge nor have I lost the excitement for the “tactile” experience with the material. I respect and love both the content and the presentation. I particularly enjoy finding and placing with libraries and institutions “primary source material” and in that activity play my small part in defending against “revisionist” history.
